Top Ten Sequels I'm Dying to Possess

This list was impossible to narrow down into just ten. But below are 10 of my most anticipated sequels between now and the end of next spring. Many are series conclusions that I'm excited/nervous to read.

Series conclusions I'm aching to read:

1) Evertrue by Brodi Ashton, published January 21, 2014 by Balzer + Bray (Harper Teen)

2) Infinite by Jodi Meadows, published January 28, 2014 by Katherine Tegen Books (Harper Teen)

3) Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi, published February 4, 2014 by HarperCollins (Did you see that banner on my side bar? #TeamAdam)

4) Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor, published April 8, 2014 by Little, Brown & Company

5) City of Heavenly Fire (cover not final) by Cassandra Clare, published May 2014 by Margaret K. McElderry (Simon and Schuster)

6) No Cover: Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo, published June 3, 2014 by Henry Holt and Co. (Macmillan)

7) The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin, published June 10, 2014 by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers

Middle series books I need in my hands:

8) The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead, published November 19, 2013 by Razorbill

9) Murder of Crows by Anne Bishop, published March 4, 2014 by Roc (Penguin)

10) Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray, published April 22, 2014 by Little, Brown Books for Young Reader

What sequels are you most anticipating?

  1. I can't believe I forgot about Mara Dyer! It's one of my favorite series! Great picks!

    Here's My TTT

  2. Liar of Dreams and Dreams of Gods and Monsters are definitely two I'm dying to get my hands on. I'm desperate for Ruin and Rising, Isla and the Happily Ever After, Shadowscale, Shimmer, This Shattered World, and Sinner. Great list, though, Lauren!(:

  4. Evertrue is a huge one for me; also Champion, which I know came out today but I'm not sure when I'll get my hands on a copy. I was at B&N yesterday and hoping someone might have set out copies earlier because sometimes I see copies before they're officially released but no such luck.

  5. Our lists are really similar except that I haven't read the first two books or the Anne Bishop. I too am Team Adam but it seems like everyone else including Tahereh Mafi is a Warner fan!!

  6. I need Evertrue like I need to breathe Lauren! The ending of book two so surprised me, I just didn't see it coming at all though I absolutely should have. LOVED! I of course am craving Gods & Monsters and The Retribution of Mara Dyer as well. Both of those are dark stories and I so hope we get an ending with a little light, I don't think I could handle it if bad things happen in either book!

  7. Awesome list! I need to start some of these series! Fiery Heart is on my list too!

    My TTT

  8. I didn't include all the series finales I'm waiting on because they make me sad...I'm not ready to say goodbye yet. But I am looking forward to all those you mentioned. Also, how did I forget about Murder of Crows?!? You're like the only other person I know who's excited about that series, and I think it was your review that made me want to read it in the first place. :)

  9. I can't believe I forgot to include The Fiery Heart on my list *headsmack*. Especially because this one seems to indicate there may be "A"ction ahead! :)

  10. Ignite Me! They're maling my copy this week and I'm like, already half dead from excitement. I'll be good and wait until Adam's novella comes out to read them in order, but not a second more. Not one milisecond.
And Murder of Crows! That's right, you loved Written in Red just as much as I did. I need to see more of Simon, and soon. I just pre-ordered The Fiery Hart today, only 14 days to go.
So much to be excited about. Great picks, Lauren!

  11. We basically agree again on almost every book you have listed here. I don't know about Ignite Me though.. because.. you know I'm not a Warner fan and I don't even want to know how he and Juliette (I don't even remember how to spell her name) have their HEA and ride off to the sunset -.- I do want to read The Retribution and Evertrue SO SO SO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad though.

  12. I'm so glad to see another Mara Dyer fan! I was so pissed when it was supposed to come out this year and then got pushed back to next year!

    My Top Ten

  13. YES for Ruin and Rising... TEAM WARNER (But Kenji is my overall favorite)... And I'm really looking forward to more of Evie's story.

  14. I haven't started any of these. :( But I have been wanting to start the Newsoul series, Shatter Me, and the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series. Correction: I have started Shadow and Bone, but I didn't fall in love with the first installment. You'll have to tell me if it gets better. Still, great list, Lauren! It's clear to me I have a lot of reading to do. I'm missing out!

  15. I think of all these Ignite me and Ruin and Rising are my most anticipated. Also excited about Fiery Heart, which is my WoW for tomorrow :)
Thanks so much for stopping by! Jen @ YA Romantics

  16. I really need to start the Everneath series. I have copies of the first and second on my Kindle...planning on getting to them before the third releases. :)
I am excited about Dreams of Gods & Monsters and Ignite Me, or I will be after I get around to reading past the first book in each series haha. I do hope that Team Adam prevails even with my limited reading of Mafi's series because I just don't understand Warner's appeal. Maybe I will, but I doubt it.
And yes! I'm also psyched for Lair of Dreams and Ruin and Rising!

  17. Great list and so many series that I need to start. Really have to treat myself to Tahereh Mafi's books, as I have been meaning to read them for so long now but still haven't! I have the first two books in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series sitting on my bookshelf waiting to be read. Have heard really amazing things so I hope I love them.

    Great list. My TTT.

  18. Infinite, Ignite Me, Retribution, Fiery Heart, City of Heavenly Fire...all were on my list too! Cannot wait! ~Pam

  19. Ahhh yes to City of Heavenly Fire! I've been in love with the series since high school (so 6 years ago) and I'm excited to see how it finally ends.
