Book Description: Inside every secret, there's a world of trouble. Get ready for the second book in this new series of global proportions--from master of intrigue, New York Times bestselling author Ally Carter.

Grace's past has come back to hunt her . . . and if she doesn't stop it, Grace isn't the only one who will get hurt. Because on Embassy Row, the countries of the world stand like dominoes, and one wrong move can make them all fall down.

The twists get twistier and the turns get even more shocking in the second thrilling installment of Embassy Row

See How They Run is the follow up to All Fall Down, and, as expected, book two is fast paced and addicting. This installment features lies and secrets and revelations, along with hidden passages, mobs and danger that kept the story moving right up to its wild ending

After the crazy events at the end of the last book, it's not surprising that Grace is suffering from severe PTSD. She is barely holding it together, and tends to get stuck in her head a lot, making dramatic and repetitive internal statements about being broken and damaged. Although I think Grace's internal turmoil is portrayed well considering the huge and traumatic experiences she's faced, the hardest thing about this book for me was being inside of her head. She really did go on and on, and I got a bit exhausted by it all. The first person narrative made me long for the third person perspective of Heist Society, which I think Carter wrote nearly flawlessly.

However, thankfully Grace had a great cast of friends to pull her out of herself. Ally Carter writes friends and co-conspirators so so well. It's one of my favorite aspects of her stories. Sidekicks Noah, Megan and Rosie are back again, as well as lot more of frienemy Lila. However, we get a little less of that group, because Grace's brother Jamie, makes an appearance. I love how protective he is of Grace. Dominic continues to lurk around, and we learn a bit more about him after the events of the previous story. Best of all, we get more Alexei, which I didn't expect, but with him comes lots of tension and some swoony moments. Way more than I anticipated, so yay to that!

I love seeing the puzzle slowly coming together, and I definitely did not expect some of the pieces that came out in this installment. However, I'm going to need to reread this and All Fall Down again before it releases because there were so many revelations and shifting stories that I had trouble sorting out the truth from all the lies, and my head is still spinning with questions and ideas.
I can't wait for the final installment!

Love Triangle Factor: None
Cliffhanger Scale: High
