I didn't do anything official on my blog, but on Instagram, I posted 10 books I want to read this fall.
What's on your fall TBR?
I plan to visit all your blogs soon too! I'm still trying to get into a rhythm of that doesn't leave me so behind, but that's a discussion for another day.
In the meantime, The Perilous Sea by Sherry Thomas released this week, and I thought this sequel to The Burning Sky was even better than the first in the series.
Now, I want you all to head over to Carina's Book Blog and check out her amazing guest post by Sherry Thomas. As someone who dislikes love triangles as much as I do, this was pretty much the best thing ever. It seems like love triangles are popping up in series everywhere, and it was refreshing to see an author articulate why she doesn't like them. She basically took the words out of my mouth. The Perilous Sea is the second book in a series, and it doesn't even have a hint of a love triangle, which feels pretty miraculous these days.
Check HERE for the post.
Don't forget to enter my giveaway for 3 books on the Fall Fierce Reads tour.
See you all back here soon, and and even sooner on twitter. I'm not going far!
I really enjoyed The Girl You Left Behind. I have Me Before You sitting on my shelf waiting to be read. I need to get on it!ReplyDelete

I hope you enjoy your break Lauren! I actually bought The Burning Sky recently, so I'm thrilled to know that you enjoyed the sequel even more! Can't wait to get started with it!ReplyDelete
I'm very curious to see what you think of Lark Rising, Lauren. It seems to be a promising fantasy but, more often than not, those wind up disappointing me so I'm awaiting your thoughts on that one. I can't wait to finally pick up both Princess of Thorns and A Cure for Dreaming--I've been ignoring those ARCs for much too long--and, as always, I just know I'll adore the new Palmer novel. Thanks for sharing and I hope you enjoy your week off, Lauren! I really need to post a vast explanation for my internet absence... O.o.ReplyDelete
I COMPLETELY understand and agree!! I'm having a hard time balancing everything at the moment (you may have noticed the rather sporadic postings) so take your time -- you'll get there (as will I)!ReplyDelete
One week is a relatively short week for a break but either way I hope you enjoy it Lauren :) xxReplyDelete
The Retribution of Mara Dyer!!!! I can't wait to read that book, but I'm also nervous about it, I have to say. I've heard incredible things about The Young Elites, I can't wait to read it. I read Princess of Thorns (I just couldn't wait) and I really enjoyed it. Lark Rising sounds so good! And Chaos!!! Can't wait, not too much longer now. So many great books to read!ReplyDelete
And I LOVED The Perilous Sea. This is one of my favorite series.
Have a great rest of the week! ~Pam
*Blushes* Thank you for mentioning my blog, Lauren :D You are the bestest. <3 I just love this guest post so so much :) And aw. I hope you will have an amazing blogging break. <3 and get lots of reading done, hiih :D And sigh. Just waiting for the last Percy Jackson book as well. <3 WANTS IT NOW :D Happy reading Lauren :)ReplyDelete
That Sherry Thomas post - made my YEAR. I wish everyone saw it that way. :( Love stories are so much more fulfilling without a love triangle.ReplyDelete
Lots of great books on that list! Hope you enjoy Lark Rising. We are gonna have to hold each other for Mara. Also The Young Elites. I plan to binge read the Sanctum series too. And of course Princess of Thorns looks amazing. Basically, I love your list. :P
Seems like a lot of people are having difficulty adjusting now that school's back in session. I'm adjusting by losing sleep, lol. :P Mara and Chaos are high on my priority list this fall. I'll be starting Chaos as soon as I finish Blue Lily, and I've had Mara pre-ordered for ages. It's finally almost here!!! :DReplyDelete
I hope the week was very relaxing :D I am really excited for you to read Lark Rising! I haven't seen any reviews for it and feel bad that the ARC is still sitting unread on my pile >.> I need someone to get me excited about it, hahaReplyDelete
Enjoy your time off Lauren!!!! And I'm with you on Princess of Thorns, The Young Elites and the third Guards of the Shadowlands book whose title I can't remember, CANNOT WAIT for all of those.ReplyDelete
I feel like I'm having a Throne of Glass moment with The Perilous Sea. I feel like the only person who didn't think it worked quite as well as the first one! I fail. I do love Sherry Thomas though, and am of course looking forward to the next book in the series:)
I stumbled into your blog because your blog name fascinated me! I wholeheartedly support it, haha. Anyway, I want to read the new Jojo Moyes too. Good luck with school :) I know how it is. I've not been able to post much since school started as well!ReplyDelete
