SERIES CHALLENGE FRIDAY
Unofficial Poll Results: What is your favorite series?

Summer Series Challenge
June - August, 2013
#serieschallenge

Series Challenge Fridays is a weekly feature that will take place during the run of the Summer Series Challenge
(and a few before)

A few weeks ago I hosted a giveaway where I asked entrants to tell me either 1) Their favorite book series or 2) A series they want to start. I got over 130 answers, which is a pretty nice sample. Because I'm gearing up for the Summer Series Challenge to start in a few weeks, and have been thinking a lot about book series, I wanted to share the results with you.

NOTE: All of the answers listed below are series that would count towards the challenge - if you wanted to read them too. These series are either fully published or have at least three books released. (See more information about the Summer Series Challenge, and the official rules, HERE)

  1. Oh, I love this challenge! Fun :) And I go with the majority, one of my all time favorite series is The Hunger Games (the feeeeels, Lauren). My fluff "let me enjoy this book without any thinking and have a no-fail read" is The Princess Diaries and Secrets of My Hollywood Life.

A series I've read and haven't completed is His Fair Assassin and that's because the 2nd book JUST came out and haven't been able to read it...and the 3rd book doesn't even have a cover yet. I have Requiem on my shelf so I need to finish the Delirium series, but I'm a bit scared :)

Hmm...I know there are tons of series that I want to read..but I can't think of any yet.

  5. I'm not surprised by a few on the list. I am ALWAYS trying to get more friends to read the Chaos Walking series. I had one friend start but she stopped soon after starting. I was bummed. It's one of those series you have to be patient with at the beginning, I think.

I don't know that I have a favorite series. Harry Potter is high on my list, I would say. Twilight too. And I definitely would like to start Vampire Academy! :)

  6. Wow, those results are fascinating. I have a few favorite series: Vampire Academy (despite book 6), Infernal Devices, His Dark Materials, Chicagoland Vampires...I also loved the first two Unearthly books, as we've discussed in great detail. I'd love to start Chaos Walking, Tomorrow, When the World Began, Gallagher Girls, Jessica Darling, and....too many others to name, hah.
