Waiting On Wednesday: Scholastic

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine
that spotlights upcoming releases we can't wait to read.

This week I can't wait for:

Scholastic Press

I haven't done a WoW in a while, but I'm back with two final series books from Scholastic.

These two picks are completely different and are probably aren't targeting the same audiences. But I am DESPERATE for both of them.

The Shadow Throne is the final book in a series that started with The False Prince.
I can't wait for more Sage and Imogen, and lots of deception and intrigue of course.

The Ascendance Trilogy #3

Jennifer A. Nielsen takes readers on an extraordinary journey in this final installment of the NEW YORK TIMES bestselling Ascendance Trilogy.

War is coming. . . .

Who doesn't need more Cole St. Clair in their lives? I am salivating for his book.

by Maggie Stiefvater
The Wolves of Mercy Falls #4 (series companion)
Published: July 1st 2014

Sinner follows Cole St. Clair, a pivotal character from the #1 New York Times bestselling Shiver Trilogy. Everybody thinks they know Cole's story. Stardom. Addiction. Downfall. Disappearance. But only a few people know Cole's darkest secret -- his ability to shift into a wolf. One of these people is Isabel. At one point, they may have even loved each other. But that feels like a lifetime ago. Now Cole is back. Back in the spotlight. Back in the danger zone. Back in Isabel's life. Can this sinner be saved?

  1. Ooh, two good ones! I'm loving the Ascendance Trilogy so far and can't wait to see what happens next. Maggie's...maybe. I like that it's a companion and I liked Cole as a character so, yeah. Maybe.

  3. I am always happy when a Maggie book is on the horizon, but I'm nervous about SINNER, too! I think you know this, but I'm more of a Grace & Sam fan, so the Cole & Isabelle storyline really threw me. I think I might like this better since it IS solidly his story, though.

  4. Ah! I haven't read either of these series Lauren! Well, that's a bit of a lie, I've read Shiver but never finished the series and am having trouble remembering Cole. I've heard so many amazing things about The False Prince, so that's a series I really want to get into at some point. Hopefully sooner rather than later, and if you're a fan of it, I have a feeling it will work for me too!

  5. Awesome picks! I have The False Prince on audio book and I'm really excited to check it out! I haven't read any Maggie Stiefvater yet, but I've only really heard great things about her work, so hopefully I'll be able to get to her stuff soon! Thanks for sharing!

  6. These are some great picks Lauren! I think I read two books from Stiefvater's The Wolves of Mercy Falls series, but I'd definitely be interested in reading anything from Cole! And I've never heard of The Shadow Throne, but I hope it lives up to your expectations! :)

  11. I wonder what the cover of Sinner will look like-the Wolves of Mercy Falls series are so distinctive so it should match it somewhat while also being its own distinctive entity IMO.
