2015 Reading Year in Review

HAPPY 2016 EVERYONE!

I didn't do a year in review for 2014 so I was determined to do one this year, even if it's a few days late & the first post I've done in about a month.

In 2015 I read 104 books or roughly 2 books a week.
According Goodreads this is 34,583 pages total

Of the books I read in 2015, I’ve highlighted around 45 that stood out to me the most, broken down by Adult + YA and the Series vs. Standalone. All of these titles were published in 2015 (or before). A few of the releases I read early at the end of 2014,  but I wanted to highlight them as part of this year’s list.

I love reading the End of Year Surveys but it’s honestly too much for me to put together, and whenever I attempt to make one, I always feel like I repeat a lot and miss some books. I also wanted to have a review of favorite books from 2015 for anyone who stops by and wants some recommendations.

Click on the titles below for my reviews.

  1. Oooh! I'm so glad you enjoyed Passenger! I know it's been getting mixed reviews, but I still want to dive in! I love that Emmy & Oliver made the list! I loved that book so much! I still need to read Every Last Word and Everything, Everything- hopefully soon! I really enjoyed Illuminae and I loved seeing Daniel and Gretchen again in CoBaS! I also cannot wait for Siren's Song!

This is a great post Lauren! Loved how you broke everything down! Happy 2016!

  3. Belated Happy New Year, Lauren! Thanks for sharing your favorites. I see a lot of books that I loved, and many of these books are on my tbr-list. I love audiobooks, so I’ll check out The Night Circus. I haven’t heard about Nameless by Jennifer Jenkins before, but if it’s on your favorite list, I’ll definitely look more close.

  5. Lauren, AMAZING job this year! I'm constantly amazed by the quality of your content and the scope of your reading. You manage to pick up YA titles that I haven't heard of and I admire the way in which you post regularly. It's a huge goal of mine to be able to post more in 2016 so let's hope I actually get more reading and blogging done.

Anyhow, I love and adore so many of these books! Carry On, Six of Crows, and The Wrath and the Dawn are probably my Top 3 of the year, though. I'm looking forward to checking out quite a few of these, though, like Nameless and Ink & Bone and am due for a re-read of Stiefvater's novels myself, soon! Lovely post, Lauren, and I'm so glad you had such a fantastic 2015!
